When you are young your life is before you with all the dreams and time to do what you want. Your attitude is "I've got time!" Let tell from a perspective of a few years later. First just plan what you think it is you want to do with your life. Ask other people in the field that you would like to be in, they should give you the scoop. make friends with the person that is doing what you'd like to be doing. --- what happens when you don't plan, seconds turn into minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to weeks, weeks to months and well you get it, right. Look at a watch or clock with a second hand on it. notice when it 'ticks' by it doesn't seem like time is moving by quickly, now find a 'sweeping' second hand and you're like whoa whoa, slow down there I've got stuff to do. tick tock, tick tock

Life is Interesting!

Work within the bounds and the limits set by others and still thrive.

Having the "can do" attitude is a winning approch, but when you don't have a team or teammates it's very hard to compete with others or other teams.

So a friend of mine, just started a sales / commision postion and is just starting to learn about motivaion and winning attitudes . . .  take a page from Anthony Robbins and incorporatea technique called anchoring.   A reminder of the winning moments that come  early ( or anytime, for that matter) is critical to helping get over the times when "no" is the only answer you hear.

Best way to describe anchoring is watch a golf pro, baseball player or basketball player before he take the shot or hits the ball. All the rituals and touching are to remind him of his training and how to correctly make the shot.

Well, playing poker has its'  highs and lows. I hope to be a fair player and will always leave a good impression after leaving the table.

I was upset about being on the bubble and having the second highest chip stack going in to the last four spots. I ended up being blinded out. It sucks. I can only learn from the hand and move on. I'll just have to remember that the lasting impression of how I leave the table stays with players STILL playing the tounament. If you leave smiling and thanking them for their play, at least they'll remember that as a positive experience. The last thing you've said or did, what people remember.

Stop just for a moment, to remember Memorial day and why we have this day as a holiday.
