In as much as I think this isn't being seen by anyone, I'm still post as way to document the growth and start of a project which will include an online business but deal with a business that's face to face.
I'm not sure who I need to speak with yet, but I'm reading and listening to ( audio tapes)all the stuff , I can get my hands on. There are so many aspects to starting a business - what type - what operation system - web design - leagal and much more.
I'm finding the local library is a big help in this whole matter.
Included in this process is blogging - vlogging and maybe a wordpress changover?
Stay tuned.

A local bar closed it's doors after, having a long run at the same location, for a few years. The people / customers that went there were very upset about the closing as it occured very quickly.
Sadly it seems to happen all the time, without notice or warning ( Warning signs - I'll post on that later) and customers and staff are left with a big hole as to where to go and drink or work.
Monday night the bar closed, but with a solid bartender and great following located another bar to work a all the customers gathered and didn't miss a beat. Tuesday night another bar was filled with people singing, eating and drinking. This is a testament to a good bartender with a following.

two local bars, both beer and wine, have close their doors. One
owner though is looking into buying another bar, full liquor this
time. The sad part about the closings are a realization that those
customers and staff may no longer connect or be in touch with each
other any more. Once you've worked in a bar for a while the people
do become your friends and you will miss them if you don't have
any more interaction with them.
Staying in contact can be easy if both parties are "connected"
online in some way. Facebook, Twiitter, e-mail, texting and cell
phones are all the latest ways to see "what's up". So getting some
contact info is important, one way to do this is to know them well
enough to ask for their contact info.
Two other ways are to have your camera ready to capture the
"kodak" moments and send off the photo to their e-mailer or social
media accounts. The second way is to have a drawing and ask for
contact info - using this to win a prize and also getting the info
for a friend request on social media sites, lets your bar (you)
share info on specials and like (you) the bar in the top pages.
One last thing, keep the contact info private and never sell the
info, you are building trust and friendship.

If you wouldn't subscribe to your own products or services
then
WHY would you think your customers would use the product.
The notion that there is a magic button you can press to make
your business run perfect or that there is only one way to
promote that business (on-line or newspaper). Put all your
eggs
in one basket and you'll see what happens. Diversify the
process
of advertisement and quantify the results to gain a better
understanding of "Why" the customer walks through your doors
and
give you his business. In learning the needs of the client
you
are able to provide the product or service they want and are
willing spend
their money on.
.
Ex. A Restaurant owner doesn't eat the food he would sell to
his
own customers. Or an Insurance sales man doesn't use his own
company's policy to cover himself.
