Note - I already wrote this blog and somehow "lost it" - It was good  and this is what I remember of it . . . . .

After a period of time with PTN (  Poker Training Network ) , I have reached the status of Orange Rounder. It is the first step to becoming a person that will be able to help family and friends. Being an Orange Rounder will allow me to receive a check in the mailbox. The amount maybe minimal but the process has begun,  nothing but I can stand in my way but me.

I will build on this foundation to reach the goals I have set.

Taking a page or two from the book “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Oslon, the small goals set and achieved are the little things that grow into the big things that give us the ability to live very well. I started to make sure I take care of the one and only body I own, soon and at some point I will receive results of this care.

I’d like to thank Shelly for sending me this great book, “The Slight Edge”

Never,Never, ever type directly into  your blog page as an administrator - I've lost hours of great blog nuggets and witty widsom.

Somehow hitting the back space button and combonation of some other key strokes leads to all the words dissappearing . . . . . F#@K

Well we knew this was going to happen and it did! Montel Williams has become a part owner of PTN. If you are on Facebook then you can see the short video here.

www.facebook.com/n/

This is only the begining!

I wish you all much success in the future, and we  look like we're in for a wild ride.

On a side note he sure looks heathly , must be all that juicer!

Not only is Montel Williams a Spokesman for PTN, he's a part owner. This is huge . . . . . Montel has a growing market share for his name and PTN is part of it. We all know Montel has had a TV show and it was quite good, I must add.

The main reason as I understand it, this merge will help the efforts by Montel to  riase awareness for the charities associated with Fallen Soldiers Families and Wounded Warriors.

Montel and  "PTN" or "Poker Training Network" will hold events, in the future that will help these very worthy causes.

The Poker training Network is a non-gambling  poker site that teaches people how to play poker better. It is also a business opportunity if you choose to explore a new business, that is about poker.

I am proud to be a "PTN Associate" and if you have an interest in something  like this and want to join  please direct yourself here http://esignup.ptn-u.net?37

Well, playing poker has its'  highs and lows. I hope to be a fair player and will always leave a good impression after leaving the table.

I was upset about being on the bubble and having the second highest chip stack going in to the last four spots. I ended up being blinded out. It sucks. I can only learn from the hand and move on. I'll just have to remember that the lasting impression of how I leave the table stays with players STILL playing the tounament. If you leave smiling and thanking them for their play, at least they'll remember that as a positive experience. The last thing you've said or did, what people remember.

A friend convinced me to rough it for a couple of days during the Memorial Day Weekend. We went camping on short notice, and of couse forgot a couple of items needed to make the trip a better.

  • mats / tarps for under and over the tents
  • real camping chairs and a table
  • More drink
  • insect spray
  • Something to read during the rain
  • a cot or air bed to sleep on
  • Electric lantern
  • Paper towels

That's the real short list off the top of my head,  - could look back on it and see what's needed for the next trip. D

on't pitch a tent in the cul-de-sac .

Over all it was fun, and the lake was nice and clear down to about 2 feet. Everybody was cordial to each other with no drama. Tent tour was interesting, A play on a doctor and his patient, a poker / magic show and and Beer Pong get mickey drunk. So food was some what  communial, the food was the highlight  cooked by George.

The small tour through the camp site showed the river also, and seeing the river site showed how much more spead out that site was the lake was pated in and everybody was closer.

PHOTOS AND VIDEO LINK SHOULD BE ADDED HERE LATER

One other note  A poker game  broke out  for at least the two nights I was there.
