Working in a bar, you'll get to know many people, some hurt you and some can help you. The fine line between friend and the foe in the business is razor thin, you have to "like" people you don't really like and hate people in the same way. This is just because its business, allow my to explain myself - working with another bartender or staff member is just like anything else where people meet up or have to work together. Some people connect or click together and others don't.

For WHATEVER reason it's a fact of life. Still never burn that bridge as you maybe working with or for that person down the road. So the foe keeps you from getting another job at a new bar and friend hooks you up with a shift or two with a good word to the boss/owner.

Truly one day you are at the goto spot and the next day it's all over, just because the building is there it doesn't mean the business will be there tomorrow. One  day you are the top bartender and the next - the onwer sells out and a new boss steps in a changes things the way he/she wants it.

One more note about the bar business - people / customers sometimes  thrive on the chaos and shit stirring, just for fun, because they don't have a life. You can not control everythingthat happens, just YOUR reaction to the event / situation placed in front of you.

Should a bad thing occur try your best to be cool and calm, try really hard . . . . .

People watch, try to be the better man, those last words you spoke will be well remebered by those that heard them, and those same words will be repeated in truths and lies when talking about you.
